Digital Infrastructure of Ruby Park Public School


As from our previous blog about the advantages of Smart Classrooms, Ruby Park Public School is acknowledged as one of the best CBSE school ofKolkata, appreciates the transition in teaching practices and is now taking more steps to make changes in the infrastructure of the school also.
As infrastructure plays one of the most important roles for a building to conduct human activities, Ruby Park Public School is now taking initiatives in making changes in the infrastructure of the school. So that it will provide a proper conducive environment in a student’s academic journey. This transition in improving the infrastructure of the school to digital infrastructure is now gaining momentum across India year after year and is now poised in gaining more strength in the coming days.
Opposite to the chalk and board teaching methods, with digital infrastructure it would enable the school to make transition from a normal classroom to a digital/smart classroom. Making education to be more interesting through audio visual technology, making the students feel comfortable in the classroom.
As digital infrastructure is gaining momentum due to it’s facilities, Ruby Park Public School takes few of the steps in the following aspect in infrastructure:-
·        Multimedia Centre – These are important and first up gradation be given to in the school. They serve to create new opportunities in learning and collaborating of topics through improved digital infrastructure.
·        Interactive whiteboard and projector – The use of chalk and board method of teaching is slowly phasing out as it does not make class session interesting. Hence with the use of whiteboard and screen projector would make the class session to be more interesting, making students to pay more attention in the classroom. Thus increasing the interactivity in the classroom. Through these touch sensitive whiteboard used by the teacher, they can project the subject and explain the students about the concept of the topic as well as what it is.
·        Digital Library – The library is the only section in any school that grants knowledge to students during their free time. With our library section expanding, we are going to install tablets in the room where students can search for the book as to where they are located making it easy for the students to locate the book without spending time in searching for it.
·        E-Diary and Classroom Activity Management – Giving an update of the school’s activity as well as the students activity to the parents is important for the school to do. That is why Ruby Park Public School now uses certain software that would send notification about the school’s function or any upcoming activity as well as the students’ performance in academic or in non-academic sessions. Bolstering the communication process between the teachers and the child.
